Out of Bounds Glitch

There's currently no use for this.

Stage 4 Saving Maria with 0 HP

As long as you use the key subweapon to initiate opening the door to save maria, even if you get hit by the cursed skull and go down to 0 HP, Maria will bring you back to full HP.

Stage 4 Repressed Platform Spawns

Falling down and moving Ritcher to a specified x/y position spawns the platforms. This is done in the TAS to force certain curse skull/platform patterns.

Maria and Annette Graphical Glitches

  • Hitting B within a frame window prior to entering the room with Maria/Annette will start the cut scene with Ritcher jumping towards her.
  • Hitting Y + Up within a frame window prior to entering the room with Maria/Annette causes her sprite to not be generated.

Orb softlock

Grabbing an end stage orb at the same time it falls on the ground results in a softlock.

Stage 2 bridge softlock

When you land on the ledge that triggers the bridge opening animation, you have one frame to input a move. If you land on the farthest pixel to the right, and hold right on the dpad, you'll fall off the cliff and softlock. A similar effect can be achieved by landing on the farthest pixel to the left and holding left to fall off on the lower ledge: this will make Richter jump off by himself during the cutscene and softlock.
