Introduction to SOTN Alucard Any% Saturn
The leaderboard for Any% Saturn runs is located at speedrun.com under the Category Extensions page.
Standard Route
- Start a new run as Maria
- Reach a Save Room and save the game
- Execute a Save Transfer Glitch and start a new run as Alucard
- Activate needed Relics for Alucard
- Glitch into Inverted Castle (TODO: Describe how this is done)
- (Optionally) Get lucky and get a Masamune drop
- Kill Shaft and Dracula
Save Transfer Glitch
- Save as Maria
- Reset the game
- Load the Maria save file, then very quickly reset the game (START + ATTACK + JUMP + SHIELD) while it is fading to black
- Start a new file as Alucard
Saturn Richter Skip
- Stand just under the ledge of the doorway in Castle Keep facing to the right (The flat side of Alucard's cape will have 3-5 pixels of space between it and the stone texture)
- Hold DASH, followed very shortly after by holding RIGHT (wait for the next room to load, at which point Alucard will spawn in an unusual spot and another room will shortly after)
