There are three staircases in the game where the player loses control when using them, as the game is supposed to automatically have the player ascend up the stairs to the next screen. However, it is possible to get knocked off the stairs on the first frame the player loses control, effectively causing the game to freeze by never being able to autoclimb the stairs.

Useful Glitches

Animationless Primary Weapon Attacks

  • Alucard can do an animationless regular attack on the frame after you stop crouching.
  • CV3-Alucard Animationless Attack.gif
    • Grant in the JP Version can perform a similar trick with his basic knife throwing attack.
    • Grant in the US Version can cancel the attack animation by grabbing onto a wall.
