By positioning Alucard against a wall while in Bat form while also taking enough damage from an enemy to be Big Tossed, you can clip Alucard through a wall/floor and go out-of-bounds.

Medusa

Alucard must have Soul of Bat, a Toadstool, and a consumable that gives invincibility frames (preferably an Elixir) equipped. Begin by poisoning Alucard with the Toadstool, then get Medusa to position herself against the right ledge. You can do this by walking close enough to trigger her attack, then dodging that attack, and repeating. Once Medusa is against the right ledge or about to be, use the Elixir to grant yourself invincibility frames and quickly turn into Bat and move through Medusa's hitbox to position yourself between Medusa and the ledge. When Medusa attacks you, if your HP was low enough to trigger a Big Toss, you will clip into the floor and untransform as Bat. Proceed to travel to the right, then transform back into Bat to trigger the screen transition.

This particular technique is used in the Pacifist category to get past Medusa without gaining any XP.
